2010 Olympics
On July 2, 2003, Vancouver was named Host City of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games!
Together, Vancouver and Whistler will welcome countries from across the globe as they come together to compete on the world stage for the honour of representing their country in Olympic competition.
Whistler is going to host many of the 2010 Olympic events, Alpine skiing (downhill, super g, giant slalom, slalom, and the combined), Nordic skiing (biathlon, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined), Sliding (ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton), and all Paralympic Events.
The remainder of the 2010 Olympic events will be held in the Vancouver area.
