About Whistler Village

Whistler Village was designed with the visitor in mind, featuring West Coast architecture and spectacular mountain views.

The Village is also a strong focal point for the community, with a town hall, fire and police station, medical clinic, museum, library, and more than 200 shops and 90 restaurants.

Pedestrian Only

Pedestrian-only means once you park your car you never need it again (until you leave). Everything is located close and convenient. The Village is safe for strollers, young children, and dogs on leashes.

You are never far from telephones, public washrooms, or visitor centres such as the Whistler Activity Centre.

Please walk your bike in the Village and your dog must be on a leash.

Village Shuttle

The FREE Village Shuttle helps you get around the Village even more. It runs from Marketplace (Village North) to the Upper Village loop seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight. The front of the bus always reads "Village Shuttle" for easy identification.

In the summer, the Village Shuttle extends to Lost Lake Park, when parking private cars is prohibited.

Whistler and Valley Express (WAVE) Transit System

The resort also offers a public transit system called the Whistler and Valley Express, also known as WAVE. The service offers convenient routes throughout the Village and its various neighbourhoods.

To encourage use of public transit, Whistler offers free transit on important days throughout the year, including World Earth Day on April 22, Clean Air Day in June, International Car Free Day in September and New Year's Eve.
